Naan Avan Illai Sequel Announced
Director Selva has announced the sequel of his mega hit film 'Naan Avan illai'.It'll be Jeevan who'll be playing the male lead as in the prequel.Hitesh Jabak is joining hands with the Director-Actor Duo again.
Naan avan illai was released in the month of May,2007.The film was a remake of yesteryear hit having the same title released in 1974.The latter sported Gemini Ganesan in the lead and was directed by K.Balachander. Selva who was an assistant of Director K.Balachander had remade the film.The film had Jeevan of 'Kaakha Kaakha' Fame in the male lead.The female lead included Malavika, Sneha, Namitha, Jyothirmayi and Keerthi Chawla.
The flick's about a criminal whose main targets are ladies who are vulnerable.It's about how the five girls are cheated by him and lose their virginity,money and property.After being caught by the police the accused claims that he's not the man they're talking about and keeps repeating 'I'm not him'(Naan Avan Illai).The rest of the story deals with the court proceedings and how he managed to escape himself.
The film was a sensational hit with perfect cast and script that talks for itself.The film did excellent at the box office and gave a new life to it's Hero Jeevan and it's producer Hitesh Jabak.The film was well written and directed by Selva.
Now the director has officially announced the plans to direct the sequel named the same.The film will have Jeevan playing the hero and Hitesh Jabak is again the producer.The film will also sport five females & four of them are Sangeetha,'Indira Vizha' Hema Malini,Swetha Menon and Lakshmi Rai.Word is that there will be a Mumbai Model roped in for the fifth role.
The Director says the film will deal with the background of the criminal and the reason for this vengeance will be revealed.The film will be shot in Europe,Dubai and Africa.He added that the sequel will be better in all aspects with a sense of excitement in his voice.
D.Imman will be the music director and Bala Murugan will be the man behind the camera.
